Self Love Is The Best Love

“Happiness and Confidence is the prettiest things you can wear”…

I read that quote and it literally spoke volumes to me. Because I am a person that looks to others for validation. No matter how hard I tried to disguise it deep down I have always been a person that didn’t see herself as the most beautiful. I know some of the people that are reading this would find it hard to believe because that’s literally how I carry myself. I have always held my head high and maintained a persona that to the outside looking in would think, “Oh she think she that girl!”

A lot of things have happened last year that put things into perspective for me to be real with not only myself but the people around me. Believe it or not that ugly truth hurts when it’s staring you directly in your face. And when there is nowhere and no one to look to you have to look to yourself. You have to take that deep dark dive down that path that you probably never thought you’d have to. You have to sit down with yourself and ask yourself all the questions you probably never thought possible or may not have the answers to. What is going to make you happy? What will make you feel good day in and day out? Why do you seek validation from others to tell you how you should feel about yourself?

This year I am vowing to myself that by the end of this year I will be able to answer all of these questions. Because right now I don’t have all the answers. I am still searching to find them within myself. I want to be able to wear confidence and it be real not because someone else gave it to me. I want to be able to look in a mirror and just know “I’m that girl!”

Can you look in the mirror and convey those messages to yourself? What steps will you take to make sure that you are completely in love with you?
